Case study · Personal brand · Public figure
How the former CEO of Majid Al Futtaim, author of NEXT and Shark Tank Lebanon investor got a personal website that carries his record without selling anything: design, content, imagery and build in two weeks.
Lebanon & the Gulf · Launched April 2026 · 2 weeks · With Digital Revamp
The Short Version
A website for a public figure has the opposite brief to a business site: it must never look like it is selling. For Alain Bejjani I designed and built a one-page official site where typography, restraint and the record do the work, with the book as the only call to action. Two weeks, design, content, imagery and development, delivered with Digital Revamp.

Who Is Alain Bejjani
Alain Bejjani led Majid Al Futtaim as CEO from 2015 to 2023, growing it into a $15 billion enterprise across 17 countries, and was named Gulf Business CEO of the Year in 2020 and one of Forbes Middle East's Top 100 CEOs in 2022. Before that he served as Executive Vice Chairman of IDAL, Lebanon's investment authority.
Since 2023 he has been an investor and public business figure: a panelist on Shark Tank Lebanon, a member of the Atlantic Council's International Board, a former co-chair of the World Economic Forum's MENA Summit, and the author of NEXT: Leading Through the New Realities. He speaks at Bloomberg, Arab News, retail and leadership forums across the region. The website had to hold all of that, quietly.
A public figure's website is judged by people who judge for a living: journalists, board members, conference organisers, publishers. Anything that looks like marketing costs credibility. Anything that looks like a template costs more.
And the content keeps moving. Press features, podcasts, keynotes and a book tour arrive every week. A static page would be out of date before it launched. The site needed a structure that his office could keep current without a developer.
One page, five sections, no noise. A design where typography and photography carry the impression, the record is stated plainly, and the book is the only thing the visitor is asked to do.
Underneath it, a media and engagements system: filterable by press, podcast, TV and event, with upcoming and past appearances, that stays accurate as the calendar fills. Live in two weeks, in time for the book.
Restraint is the hardest thing to design. Every element on the page had to earn its place or leave.
What I Built
Four workstreams in two weeks, with Digital Revamp as the agency and me on design and development.
A one-page site built on a strict typographic system: a serif for the statements, a clean sans for the record, generous space, a dark palette that lets the photography sit without competing. The hero is the name, four words, and a line: "Building institutions that hold under pressure." Nothing else.
The biography written in order, with the numbers and the names and none of the adjectives: IDAL, Majid Al Futtaim, $15 billion, 17 countries, the sukuk, the awards, Shark Tank, the Atlantic Council, the book. The book section written as an invitation, not a pitch. Section headers that read as statements, not labels.
Portrait and event photography selected and edited to one tone across the page, a nineteen-image gallery, and press thumbnails standardised so a Bloomberg still and a podcast frame sit next to each other without looking like a scrapbook.
WordPress and Elementor, one page with anchored navigation. A media system with Event, Podcast, Press and TV filters, and separate upcoming and past engagement lists with date, title, description and city, each an entry his office adds in a minute. Contact form routed to his office. Google Tag Manager, schema, titles and descriptions.
Under the Hood
The Result
Since launch the site has carried the book tour, a Bloomberg appearance, Arab News and Arabian Business features, a keynote at the Middle East Retail Forum, the LAU Executive in Residence announcement and a London Business School programme, all added by his office, none of them by a developer.
The homepage: a name, four words, one line.
Who Did What
Digital Revamp ran the client relationship. I designed and built the site, wrote the content and prepared the imagery. One thread, two weeks.
Digital Revamp ⇆worked with Omar Digital Revamp, the agency and the client relationship · Omar Halabi, design, content, imagery, development
This is the kind of project where the design has to disappear. If a visitor notices it, it has failed.
Questions People Ask
Alain Bejjani is a Lebanese business leader, investor and author. Omar Halabi, a web developer and digital advisor in Beirut, designed and developed alainbejjani.com, wrote the content and prepared the imagery, working with Digital Revamp as the agency of record. The site launched in April 2026 after a two-week build.
It must not sell. The audience is journalists, boards, event organisers and readers, and they distrust marketing. The design carries the impression through typography, photography and restraint; the content states the record in order; and there is usually a single call to action, in this case the book.
It is built as a system, not a page: press, podcast, TV and event entries each have a thumbnail, title and link, filterable by type, and upcoming and past engagements each have a date, description and city. His office adds entries in a minute without touching the design.
Yes. Personal brand sites for executives, authors, consultants and professionals are a regular part of the work, from a one-page official site like this to a full site with a blog and booking. The design is decided by what the site has to do for you, not by a template. Get in touch and tell me what yours needs to carry.
